Our annual Snowdrop Spectacular!
Open daily 10am to 5pm

Thousands of snowdrops carpet the woodlands – National Collection of over 350 different Snowdrops – Feed the Piglets – Environmental Sculptures – Art / Craft Workshops and lot’s more!

Entry – Adults £5.50 Children go FREE!

With over 350 varieties of snowdrop, winter gardens, walled garden, woodlands and wildlife, Cambo is the place for snowdrops and much more! Explore our creative family trails, go for a welly walk and play together at our brand-new nature playground. Finish with a visit to our tea room, gift shop and plant shop bursting with hellebores, snowdrops, aconites and more. All located inour new Stables Visitor Centre.

Babes in the snowdrops woods
Bring your wee ones for a magical snowdrop activity walk in the woods – buggys, slings and welly boots welcome – along with four legged furry friends! If too cold, come and meet for some stories and nursery rhymes in The Studio. We will then finish up in Nosebag Cafe for a cuppa and cake and breadsticks and apples for the kids.

Cambo Family Adventure Club
Our family adventure club is designed for families with young children to explore the woodlands together, with activities including den building, seasonal wildlife and nature spotting and lots of jumping in puddles! Free, bookable.

Imbolc Family Fire Party
Launch event – Cambo Snowdrop Festival! Imbolc is a Gaelic traditional festival marking the beginning of spring, held on 1 February, halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Join us to celebrate the lengthening days with warming crafts, music, parade and bonfire, suitable for all the family and those on four legs too. The events starts at 4pm with some crafts in The Stables Visitor Centre and weather permitting we will parade to our Imbolc bonfire for some music, fun and a snowdrop sausage sizzle to celebrate the coming of spring. The event will finish at 6.30pm.

Monthly muddy adventures around the woods and coast of Cambo.
Age 6 – 12. Free, bookable.

12 February 10am – 4pm
Designing the modern winter garden: one-day course
Head Gardener Elliott Forsyth will guide you through designing a modern winter garden.
Aspects will include making a theme, plant selection and combining plants effectively. The course will also look at key plants for the winter season.
Additionally, we will assess the winter interest of other types of planting.
Bring wet weather clothing and sturdy footwear.

STEAM Snowdrop Spectacular challenge – workshop and parade

Create artwork, sculptures and props from the nature around Cambo for a daily Snowdrop Spectacular parade in the walled garden. With family, friends or as your own STEAM challenge, we are aiming for SPECTACULAR creations.

STEAM is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. Our Snowdrop Spectacular will challenge children, young people and their families to create imaginative feats of art and engineering using natural materials.
With daily prizes and an exhibition parade, join us to create something SPECTACULAR!
