Dumfries House Food Markets 2018
Cumnock KA18 2NJ
Food is a serious business at Dumfries House, where you’ll find education programmes that teach children about the origins and cultivation of vegetables and meat. It’s no surprise then that the estate is now holding a farmers’ market on a monthly basis.
Held on the third Saturday of each month, the market features only produce that has been sourced from within a 60-mile radius, which ensures that the food is genuinely fresh and local.
Expect to pick up fresh veg, fruit, jams, chutneys, honey, local cheeses, rare breed and duck eggs, meat pies and sausages from nearby establishments including Barlochan Highland Beef, Battlefield Bakery and Rhone Cottage.
All produce is sourced from less than 60 mile radius ensuring the food is truly fresh and local.
Stall holders can include the following but there are changes every month so just come long and enjoy.
