Balgy Lodge, Torridon

Balgy Lodge (sleeps 12) perches on a raised knoll above the River Balgy overlooking Loch Torridon and the spectacular surrounding mountains. Rooms command lovely views and the grounds are an ideal play area for children as there is a gate and fencing to the road, and the river is a safe distance away. The climate on this part of the west coast is surprisingly mild due to the influence of the Gulf Stream, which has a warming effect on the area: pampas grass and palm trees grow in the area!

Ballimore Farm Estate is a family run working farm, offering self-catering accommodation for different tastes and budgets.  Guests will meet our Highland Cattle fold, Hebridean Sheep and Blackfaced Sheep flocks on our fields when walking or driving through the Estate. Local wildlife includes buzzards, eagles, ospreys, hen harriers, black grouses, whooper swans and canada geese but also red squirrels, pine martins, foxes, red deer, otters, minx and wild cats. Regular seasonal visitors around the house include cuckoos, swifts and swallows.

Innerwick Estate Self Catering

Innerwick Estate is located half way up Glenlyon, which is Scotland’s longest and one of the most beautiful glens, with a variety of landscapes from deep river gorges and rock pools to gentle farmland and dramatic mountain peaks. The glen is of particular interest to walkers with low level river walks, many hill tracks and high level hill walks including Perthshire’s highest peak, Ben Lawers within a few miles of Innerwick Estate.


Balvarran is an old highland estate located on the southern boundary of Britain’s largest unspoilt mountain wilderness. The estate lies to the north of the River Ardle in the heart of Strathardle, a beautiful glen rich in legend and tradition. Valuable habitats here play host to a bountiful array of wildlife, both large and small, rare and common.

Balvraid Steading has been recently built from the remains of a substantial cattle steading. On a private farm track some distance from public roads, it enjoys a commanding position, with sweeping 360 degree views over Loch Fleet, the sea, hills and woodland.
