Ardtornish has a small Gift Shop & Information Centre in the Estate Square. The shop boasts a variety of local artisan crafts including our own Ardtornish tweed items. Most items we stock come from within a 30-mile radius of the estate. Practical goods include maps, midge repellent, fishing flies, and postcards.
Bairnkine Farm is owned and farmed by Matt and Lucy Tile. It extends to just under 1100 acres farming approximately 2000 sheep. At present we have two holiday cottages, Owl Cottage, which sleeps six and Wild Rose Cottage, which sleeps five.
Just along our farm drive and with superb views over the countryside towards the Cheviots, we have developed a certificated site for Caravan Club members where we can take up to five touring caravans at any one time. Both the cottages and the van park have Wi-Fi for Internet connectivity.
At Balblair we are proud of the approach we take to making the finest malt whisky. We are the only Distillery that releases Vintage bottlings exclusively. Every cask is sampled by our Distillery Manager and then released only if it is judged to have reached peak condition. Our bottles are marked with the year that the malt whisky was distilled rather than an age statement.
